The report shows that there were 184 on-chain security incidents in the quarter, resulting in a total loss of $688,102,941. Compared with the first quarter of 2024, the value of the losses increased by 37%, but the number of incidents decreased by 18% month-on-month. Phishing was the most expensive attack vector in the quarter, causing $433,688,871 in losses in 67 incidents, accounting for the vast majority of total financial losses. There were 16 major incidents involving private key leaks, resulting in a total loss of $170,064,635. Ethereum suffered the most security incidents, with a total of 83 hacking attacks, scams, and vulnerability attacks, resulting in a loss of $170,636,798. In 7 separate incidents, the total amount of funds returned totaled $99,328,507, resulting in an adjusted total loss of $588,774,434 for the quarter.
