“We are excited to announce the release of the limited alpha of @MetaMask Delegation Toolkit, our smart contract account offering. Based on years of research, Delegation Toolkit revolutionizes the building of integrated wallet experiences directly into your dapp.”

The new toolkit of the famous cryptocurrency wallet aims to simplify the development of decentralized applications (dApps) and aims to create new experiences for users.

MetaMask Delegation Toolkit will be available on any Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) network supported by a user operation bundler, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Linea, Optimism, and Polygon.

Taking a look at the website dedicated, the MetaMask Delegation Toolkit has been defined as follows:

“MetaMask Delegation Toolkit is a collection of smart account libraries (including a Wagmi connector and a custom Viem client) and middleware to support signers, paymasters, and bundlers. It includes the Delegation Framework, a pioneering suite of open-source and customizable smart contracts that allow Dapps and Protocols to create new experiences based on granular permission sharing and trust. The Delegation Framework, compatible with ERC-7710 and ERC-7715 specifications, will enable developers to prepare their applications for native account delegations.”

MetaMask: the cryptocurrency wallet improves the approach to Web3

Another goal of the famous cryptocurrency wallet is to improve the approach to Web3 for the entire community.

In fact, through the MetaMask Delegation Toolkit, users and developers will be able to obtain various benefits. Among the many, there is the instant user access which will allow to eliminate any friction in the onboarding of users who are starting in web3.

In this sense, thanks to the toolkit, pop-ups and continuous confirmations will be removed for a smoother interaction.

For developers, the MetaMask toolkit offers the possibility to build dApps with better gas fee management, allowing “gasless transactions or deferred or reassigned gas costs”. Not only that, MetaMask invites developers to create for the largest Web3 user base already present in the cryptocurrency wallet.

“We have always had the most active and engaged user base on MetaMask. While you bring in new users with minimal friction, continue to build user-friendly and feature-rich experiences for the millions of monthly active users of MetaMask.”
