The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) is now offering another Bitcoin (BTC)-related exchange-traded fund.

The DigitalX exchange-traded fund will trade under the ticker symbol “BTXX,” the company announced. This ETF was created in partnership with K2 Asset Management and Canadian digital asset firm 3iQ, which launched some of the first cryptocurrency ETFs in Toronto in 2021.

“The offering of the DigitalX Bitcoin ETF in the Australian market is an important moment for DigitalX and the Australian digital asset investment market as a whole,” said Lisa Wade, CEO of DigitalX, in a press release. “Enabling Australians to invest in Bitcoin in a safe and accessible way, without having to manage digital wallets, will be a game changer.”

The ETF comes weeks after VanEck launched its Bitcoin ETF on the ASX, which tracks the company's US-listed equivalent.
