They Benefited the Most from the Bitcoin Decline: Giant Whales Broke a 6-Year Record!

Giant Bitcoin (BTC) whales broke the record of the last 6 years by turning the declines into buying opportunities.

According to the data provided by the on-chain analysis platform Santiment, the fluctuations experienced in Bitcoin in the last 6 weeks benefited the whales.

The data in question revealed that the amount in the wallets of whales holding more than 10 thousand BTC reached 3.19 million BTC.

Santiment made the following statement on the subject:

Wallets holding more than 10,000 Bitcoins have been the biggest beneficiaries of the volatility over the last 6 weeks. These large addresses, which are estimated to consist mainly of foreign exchange liquidity providers, collected 212,450 BTC in the process and own more than 1.05% of the entire supply.

They exceeded 1% of the total Bitcoin supply

These numbers revealed that giant whales have the largest amount of Bitcoin since November 2018. Whales have accumulated 212,450 BTC in the last 6 weeks alone. Thus, the whale group in question owned 1.05% of the total supply of Bitcoin.

According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin, which has increased by 0.1% in the last 24 hours, is traded at $ 57,600 at the time of writing.
