Some of the stolen funds associated with PancakeBunny, a decentralized finance protocol on Binance Smart Chain, were routed through the Tornado Cash privacy protocol after a three-year lull. 🕵️‍♂️

PancakeBunny suffered a flash loan attack in May 2021 and lost approximately 697,000 BUNNY and 114,000 BNB, causing the value of his BUNNY token to decline by 95%.

Three years later, on July 7, a wallet address associated with hacker PancakeBunny transferred 1,002 Ether (ETH) of the stolen funds to Tornado Cash to make it harder to trace.

At current market prices, the hacker stole approximately $3 million in Ether. According to CertiK, the PancakeBunny attacker is currently holding 11.4 million DAI.

Cryptosecurity experts emphasize the importance of preventive measures to protect against attacks on protocols. In this regard, CertiK has migrated its 12 blockchain applications in Asia to the Alibaba cloud platform.
