According to Foresight News, Bitcoin.com reported that the US government has agreed to the bail application of William Lonergan Hill, the founder of Bitcoin privacy wallet Samourai Wallet, and he will appear in a New York court next week.

Foresight News previously reported that Samourai Wallet founders Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill were arrested in April and charged with money laundering. Prosecutors said Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill charged about $4.5 million for mixing services. The maximum sentence for these two charges is 20 years and 5 years, respectively. Since 2015, Samourai Wallet has facilitated a total of about $2 billion in "illegal transactions." The amount is calculated based on the Bitcoin price "at the time of each transaction."
