SlowMist CISO: Identity verification service Authy was hacked, resulting in the leakage of 33 million user phone numbers. Please beware of phishing attacks

According to TechFlow, SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer 23pds published a post on X saying that Authy, a popular two-factor authentication (2FA) service second only to Google Authenticator, was hacked and the phone numbers of 33 million users were leaked.

The official developer Twilio has confirmed the vulnerability. Since a large number of cryptocurrency industry practitioners use this 2FA software, users are advised to be vigilant against phishing attacks and ensure the safety of their assets.
