Galaxy Digital reported that crypto venture capital sentiment continued to improve in the second quarter despite the market downturn. Data shows that crypto venture investors invested $3.19 billion in the second quarter, slightly higher than the $3.16 billion in the first quarter. Web3, Layer 1 and Bitcoin Layer 2 were the most talked about investment categories this quarter, attracting significant amounts of capital. Analysts pointed out that although available investment funds are still below the bull run levels of 2021-2022, the recovery of the crypto market has triggered FOMO among investors and the competitive environment has intensified. The United States continues to dominate in terms of investment volumes and capital commitments, but regulatory pushback may prompt more companies to move overseas. Data shows that Web3 attracted $495.5 million in investment, while Layer 1 received $371 million in funding, and Bitcoin Layer 2 also received significant investment, reaching $94.6 million.
