From 2001 to 2023, China's exports to Asia (excluding East Asia) grew at an annual rate of 16.7%, reaching $970 billion, nearly equaling the combined exports to the United States and the European Union, which totaled $1 trillion. In 2023, China's imports from Asia (excluding East Asia) amounted to $790 billion, which is 76% more than the combined imports from the United States and the European Union.
