🚫 Despite rumors on social networks, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (DFSA) has no plans to ban cryptocurrency self-storage wallets. Tobias Thygesen, director of the DFSA, denied this information, saying that the DFSA had not proposed such a ban.

Self-storing wallets are not subject to MiCA regulation by their nature. Such wallets allow users to store cryptocurrency without intermediaries, which means the user has full control over the cryptocurrency being stored.

Mikko Ohtamaa, co-founder of Trading Strategy, incorrectly interpreted the assessment as believing that the release of self-storage wallets meant that the DFSA wanted to stop offering such wallets in Denmark. However, it is not.
