Paul Grewal, chief legal officer of Coinbase, posted on X platform that Coinbase has filed a motion with Judge Katherine Polk Failla seeking an appellate review of the case filed by the SEC against it. The motion cited Judge Jackson's recent ruling in SEC v. Binance, which rejected the SEC's claim that secondary market transactions of BNB tokens on Binance were investment contracts, while the SEC filed similar charges against Coinbase for unregistered securities sales.
