The 90-minute debate between Biden and Trump did not mention cryptocurrencies

The first debate, hosted by CNN on June 27, focused on each presidential candidate's plans for the economy, abortion rights, immigration and foreign policy. The debate also briefly mentioned their mental abilities, as Biden, 81, and Trump, 78, are the oldest candidates ever to run.

Trump has pledged to end what he calls Biden's "war" on cryptocurrencies if elected, and held a meeting with Bitcoin miners earlier this month, telling them that he wants cryptocurrencies to be all "made in the United States." For example, Kraken CEO Dave Ripley said Biden is "going soft on cryptocurrencies." A Gallup poll last month showed that cryptocurrency is not a top concern for American voters, with most people citing the economy, inflation, poor governance and immigration as key issues facing the country.

According to a June 27 FiveThirtyEight poll, Trump leads Biden in national polls by just 0.2 percentage points - 41.1% to the incumbent president's 40.9%, while Kennedy's approval rating is 9%. The poll was conducted before the debate. The second debate between Biden and Trump is scheduled for September 10!
