Kraken co-founder Jesse Powell donated $1 million to US presidential candidate Donald Trump. 🤑 Powell is joining the Winklevoss twins, founders of the Gemini exchange, to help his campaign.

Jesse Powell, co-founder of crypto exchange Kraken, said he donated $1 million to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, most of it in ether {{ETH}}. 🚀

“I am excited to join other leaders from our community to unite behind the only pro-crypto major party candidate in the 2024 Presidential election,” Powell posted on the X account.

Trump emerged as a pro-crypto candidate during the election campaign. Last month, it said it was accepting crypto donations. He said all bitcoin should be made in the USA and the country should be a leader in the crypto space. However, it has not yet proposed any policy for crypto.

Powell joins other personalities in the crypto community who support Trump's campaign. The Winklevoss twins, founders of the Gemini exchange, said they gave $1 million each to Trump, but some were returned to comply with donation limits.
