The Web3 incubator DePIN Base Camp, co-organized by Outlier Ventures, L1 public chain peaq and Borderless Capital, ended recently.

On June 25, 2024, Outlier Ventures announced the six crypto startups that were successfully selected for the DePIN Base Camp, namely Aydo, Kaisar Network, Roam Network, ROVR, TouchBrick, and YOM. They focus on building applications, products, and protocols that leverage digital networks, decentralized infrastructure, and data services to fully tap the potential of DePIN.

The following is a brief introduction to these six projects:

Aydo: Aydo enhances the flexibility of the DePIN protocol through seamless third-party device integration and BYOD approach

Aydo allows users to connect third-party IoT devices and sensors based on the ESP32 development board to supported DePIN projects. This allows users to save a lot of hardware costs without locking their hardware into a single ecosystem. At the same time, DePIN projects can focus on their core business without having to manufacture and distribute hardware. In addition, the AYDO dashboard allows users to easily discover DePIN projects and manage streaming.

Kaisar Network: The leading GPU-as-a-Service protocol that incentivizes GPU providers and end users, powered by KAI

Kaisar Network is a DePIN protocol specifically designed and optimized for decentralized computing and artificial intelligence. Kaisar Network’s mission is to reshape the future of decentralized computing by leveraging artificial intelligence and blockchain to aggregate idle GPU resources, provide these resources at significantly reduced costs, and reward participants who provide GPU/computing resources

Roam Network: Convert Cell Signals into Rewards with DePIN

Mobile networks connect your phone to the internet. Collecting accurate, real-time mobile network performance data is often challenging and costly for mobile network operators, enterprise connectivity managers, and tech-savvy users. The Roam App simplifies this process by allowing users to share their network data for blockchain-based rewards. Our methodology includes user-tagged data measurements, providing unique insights that traditional methods cannot provide. The Roam Network delivers cost-effective, reliable analytics to improve network services and customer experience for all stakeholders.

ROVR: Digital Twin of the Earth

ROVR is a decentralized, ultra-high-precision multi-dimensional digital twin platform that powers the next generation of transportation and 3D AI engines for the Earth. Thanks to proprietary, highly specialized 3D environmental data acquisition equipment, users can easily capture and record environmental information with an accuracy of 2 cm within a range of 100 meters. The massive amount of extremely high-definition data generated by ROVR will lay a solid foundation for the next generation of 3D AI training.

TouchBrick: AI Data Privacy

Touch Brick's cybersecurity network powers privacy agents, protects an enterprise's most sensitive data, continuously learns and protects data in databases from emerging threats. Touch Brick's privacy-first network enables ethical AI training with synthetic datasets. It is designed to protect enterprise security and is the first in the industry to enable compliant use of sensitive data. As AI models, healthcare and fintech industries expand, and the risk of personal data exposure surges, Touch Brick provides true privacy and complete data fidelity with a zero-trust onboarding experience.

YOM: DePIN for cloud gaming and immersive experiences

YOM is building the first cloud gaming DePIN on Solana, streaming games at scale, white-label experiences, and a whole new entertainment format. YOM leverages a distributed gaming hardware network to deliver global low-latency, near-zero-cost cloud gaming on any device and channel, effectively eliminating the need for dedicated gaming consoles like Xbox or Playstation.
