According to TechFlow, Rarimo, a multi-chain asset and identity interoperability protocol, has launched RariMe, a Worldcoin competitor that allows users to generate a passport zero-knowledge proof (ZK) to verify its uniqueness without revealing its identity. The first demonstration use case will use passport ZK to issue programmable airdrops to citizens of a specific country.

Unlike Worldcoin, which uses eye scans, Rarimo uses smartphones to scan passports for verification. ZK ensures that no personal data is shared when verifying identity.

It is reported that Rarimo was once the anonymous blockchain referendum technology team that verified the legitimacy of Putin’s victory in the Russian election.

Rarilabs co-founder Lasha Antadze said RariMe aims to restore online privacy and allow users to interact truly anonymously in Web3.
