What is ONE coin?
ONE Coin is the official currency of the fast and secure decentralized applications (Harmony) platform. In other words, this currency is used within the Harmony system to pay subscriptions, transaction fees, enter contests, and place bets. The ONE token is also used for storage by validators, and for consensus voting with penalties for dishonest contracts. Honest validators also receive rewards for their participation in securing the system. However, this currency cannot be used outside the platform.
This currency was in decline from the beginning of this year until April. On May 11 in particular, this coin experienced a significant decline of 17% at once, reaching $0.06. However, this severe setback was not due to a glitch or flaw in the coin but at the time there was a strong sell-off of crypto assets in general.
How many units of One are available? As of May 11, there were 12.06 billion One coin units available in circulation out of a total of 13.45 billion units, according to CoinMarketCap.
