Today we are mainly talking about Farcaster
I have a friend in the same circle, but he isn’t really a friend. To call him a friend is a bit too gangster-like.
We have dealt with each other and exchanged ideas occasionally.
His name is Tian Qi, and he was once the head of the Chinese community of Mirror DAO.
I am very grateful to him because he recommended GoMirror (discontinued operations) and Bit Gravity to Mirror, giving me the opportunity to become a member of Mirror DAO, although the current status of Mirror DAO is stagnant.
I participated in an AMA organized by him before, which was considered a relatively long exchange, and we kept in touch occasionally afterwards. He gave me the impression of being very pragmatic and sincere, and he also paid close attention to the dynamics of the industry and had his own observations and insights.
In fact, when he asked me a few days ago if I had used Farcaster, I had no idea what it was.
I immediately looked it up and found out that it was the SocialFi protocol, and its founder was a former Coinbase executive (I won’t post his name because I don’t know him and it’s hard to spell), and its industry status is on par with Nostr and Lens.
And it’s not a new one. It announced its financing last year, with a US$30 million investment led by A16Z.
Look, Coinbase, Lens, A16Z, 30 million, these names are impressive, definitely from a famous family.

There is no way. Non-technical people cannot analyze its innovative uniqueness from a technical perspective, and those who work in the market can only look at its origin superficially.
I searched and found a lot of technical analysis posts that look impressive online. You can read them as a reference. I always forget what I read. It's really like a mountain between two different fields.

Farcaster is still in Beta and will continue to be available until 2024.
The bad news is that it is not fully open yet and registration is by invitation only.
You can send private messages to the official on X, but they may not reply.
It is also open to some users of some projects, such as Gitcoin, Delegate, Curta... and many NFT holders, such as Nouns. To know which projects are available, you can check the tweets on X. You can skip the waitlist and try it out directly.
As an interactive black hole who only knows mindless fixed investment and is not an NFT enthusiast, unfortunately, I probably can't use it yet. I can't say for sure. I haven't finished reading all the tweets, but it's pretty close.

Hanyang MasterPa is one of the founders and a member of Mirror DAO.
Currently, AAAny is still an invitation-only program, and Tian Qi invited me.
AAAny means Ask Anyone Anything. The overall interface style is what I like and the experience is also very good.
I feel like it’s just starting to be a trial, so there aren’t many people, but the quality of the users is quite high, including the elder Shenyu in the circle, many former Mirror DAO members, and practitioners working on various projects in the circle.
Of course, there are also some people outside the circle, which is good and adds some freshness.
