I still fail to understand the concept of any crypto currency to rise or fall..

Is there any other factor that helps the crypto to rise other than whales and exchanges adding funds to it ?? Is it completely dependant on the money flow or a crypto can also rise if they have some upgrade or some internal development of crypto??

Any thoughts Nd comments on this?
