Many influencers suggest to people a target of 2x or 3x with altcoins... without understanding the general psychology and not outlining the next steps.
A season of altcoins can truly be crazy... achieving 5x-10x-20x is completely normal. If from the very beginning the ambition is low and one is satisfied with a profit of 2x or 3x, then there is nothing much to say.
But what if after cashing out 2x or 3x, the market continues to soar??? Can people just sit still? Or at some point, they jump back in due to FOMO - then they end up buying at the peak - stuck in a never-ending cycle.
So, if you are in crypto - especially altcoins, set a target that is worthy compared to the risks you take from the start. So that if the coin continues to rise, you won’t feel too regretful because you've already done quite well - don’t let it be that after cashing out and buying a house, you see the coin increase and want to jump back in to earn more for a car.
Or having other thoughts like: cash out 2x or 3x to recover the initial investment and hold the profits - then take that initial amount and invest it in another uptrend???
Cash out the initial investment - then which coin to invest in? When a coin rises, most will rise. Sell the one that is soaring to buy one that hasn’t soared yet? But usually, the strong coins that haven't finished their upward momentum will continue to soar - the weak ones will remain weak - until no one can stand it anymore, and then they will rise.
Or cash out to buy a new coin listed at that time? For projects that list on exchanges during a good market time, it is assumed that the valuation will also be high. So even if you buy at the 'bottom' when listed, compared to the general market, it is not cheap at all. #altsesaon
$CAKE seems to be underperforming, looking at $UNI the total supply is higher, no need to burn tokens like crazy like Cake but the price keeps racing to the finish (soon to reach the old peak); as for $CAKE , who knows if it can reach the old peak of $44. It can be said that: Cake is a pie-in-the-sky project just like its name hehe. That said, I'm still holding onto Cake to the death, you guys :))
