According to Odaily, venture capital firm Khosla Ventures has raised a $405 million Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to invest in OpenAI's $6.6 billion funding round. Sources familiar with the matter and a regulatory filing revealed that the SPV will consist of funds from Khosla Ventures and external investors. Venture capitalists typically support startups but also pool funds through SPVs to participate in later-stage financing rounds. Previously, Khosla Ventures has invested in projects such as NEAR ecosystem blockchain infrastructure company Calimero Network, Worldcoin, investment application Seashell, and Chain (XCN).
