The US accounted for over 40% of the global hashrate of the Bitcoin network by the end of 2024. Foundry USA and MARA Pool stood out by mining over 38.5% of the total blocks. Foundry USA became the largest mining pool, increasing its hashrate from 157 EH/s to 280 EH/s. MARA Pool controls 4.35% of the total hashrate with 32 EH/s. China-based pools continue to hold the majority of the global hashrate. Hashrate centralization is a concern in the industry. Do you think this threatens Bitcoin’s decentralized nature?
