The market is consolidating, while the AI sector on the blockchain is surging. According to CoinGecko, the total market capitalization of AI sector tokens has surpassed $48.7 billion, with a 24-hour increase of 13.3%, marking the first shot of the rising sectors in 2025. I have not conducted detailed research on the AI Agent concept yet, but I am in the process of understanding it. The current leader is ai16z, which was valued at $1 billion the last time I mentioned it, and today it has exceeded $2.4 billion. Another leading project is Virtual.

Currently, AI Agents are still in the early stages; from the initial AI MEME phase, they are transitioning into the application phase. If early projects like GOAT and MOODENG were merely hype around AI, the current tokens focus on project empowerment. For instance, ai16z is mainly about establishing standards for AI Agents, while Virtual serves as a Launchpad platform for AI projects, and its functions are evolving in line with AI advancements.

It is noteworthy that the development of AI Agents will be combined with DeFi, relying on the infrastructure built by DeFi to develop the Agent economy. At present, AI Agents represent a promising new track that could drive a collective explosion of blockchain projects, surpassing other sectors in terms of market cap growth, the speed of concept application, and funding attention.

For those with time and energy, I recommend learning about this sector. The main channels are Twitter and some related articles, but the most important thing is to engage with the projects yourself. Since I had not paid much attention to this sector before, thinking it was just a meme-level phenomenon, it is now clear that it is much more than that. I will also start to explore more and share insights in future articles. Of course, if you do not want to research, you can invest in the leading sectors, followed by DeFi, and eventually, Ethereum will certainly benefit.
