If you buy a security, you need to know:

1) Is there a major player?

2) What is the narrative?

3) What is the risk-reward ratio?

4) When is the appropriate time to enter the position?

5) How should you enter the position?

6) What proportion of your overall position in speculative assets should this security represent?

7) What is the target price, and how should you sell it?

8) If your judgment is wrong, how should you cut losses?

These are the 8 questions I always think through every time I buy a security. I hope you all develop this habit.
