Bitcoin continued to rise early this morning, breaking through $107,000 and setting a new all-time high. Meanwhile, several institutions remain undeterred by the high price and continue to accumulate Bitcoin.

MicroStrategy, the publicly traded company with the largest Bitcoin holdings, announced last night that it has acquired an additional 15,350 BTC for approximately $1.5 billion, at an average purchase price of $100,386. As of December 15, 2024, MicroStrategy holds a total of 439,000 Bitcoins, with an average purchase price of $61,725.

On the other hand, mining company Riot Platforms also acquired an additional 667 Bitcoins at an average price of $101,135. As of this writing, the company's Bitcoin holdings have reached 17,429.

With the additional proceeds from Riot’s upsized $594 million, 0.75% coupon convertible bond issue, the Company has acquired 667 BTC at an average price of $101,135 per BTC. Additionally, the publicly traded company Semler Scientific also announced last night that it has acquired an additional 221 Bitcoins at an average price of $101,890. So far, the company holds a total of 2,084 Bitcoins, with an average cost of $80,916.

The performance of Bitcoin spot ETFs in the United States has also been quite impressive, with a net inflow of $637.5 million yesterday. Additionally, data from Soso Value shows that the net inflow into Bitcoin spot ETFs has exceeded $2 billion for two consecutive weeks, indicating that even with prices hovering at historical highs, investors remain optimistic about Bitcoin's future price performance.
