The position of MEME in the future crypto industry.

Observations about the entire industry and views on subsequent developments, for those hesitating whether to go all in on meme, this is just a personal opinion for reference.

MEME will not disappear, PVP will always exist, but it is difficult for the entire MEME track to achieve a continuously dominant position like this year again. The rise this year did not originate from MEME itself, but rather from the decline and abandonment of VC.

Many of the MEMEs that emerged later are essentially just variants of VC, retail investors believe there is hot money in the MEME track, so they participate, while in the eyes of the big players and hot money, retail investors are just hot money. Where retail investor attention goes, hot money follows; since retail investors like memes, we should issue memes.

This year, the MEME track did not see any truly godly projects; everyone claims to be the next Shiba or Doge, but in fact, it hasn't even reached the sustained FOMO level of the initial Ordi. Essentially, this is also due to the issuers behind them, all wanting to take a quick profit and then exit.

If the crypto industry is left with only MEME, then crypto is not far from dying. The direct result of Trump's ascent is the implementation of regulatory policies, which is the most crucial factor.

Normalizing and regularizing the crypto industry will soon allow old money to confidently and continuously enter the market.

In the coming years, one of the main drivers pushing the overall rise in crypto will be the gradual entry of old money; this is the most critical logic for the next few years.

Old money will not choose MEME; old money is not retail investors. Most of them will allocate step by step through certain funds, initially providing only a small exposure to tokens like BNB and ETH. As the crypto industry develops, they will gradually allocate some application-driven projects that are impressive, especially those that can generate dividends, such as Uni, which will unlock fee switches in the future.

The MEME track can be played, but for retail investors, it can only be a small position with high risk for potential large returns.
