The prices of the #Criptomonedas saw a sharp decline of up to 30% against the South Korean won in the main #exchanges of South Korea, due to the government declaring a state of emergency martial law in recent hours.
The President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, announced in a televised speech that emergency martial law was being implemented to “Safeguard a liberal South Korea from the threats posed by the communist forces of North Korea and eliminate anti-state elements.”
With these latest actions in the Asian country, negative sentiment spread in the crypto market, #Bitcoin! and #XRP , two of the #tokens most traded on local exchanges, fell by up to 30% on major exchanges before quickly recovering.
