The team behind the non-custodial wallet MetaMask has launched a new Gas Station feature that allows users to swap assets without the need to hold native tokens of the Ethereum blockchain ($ETH ) to pay for transaction fees. The feature is available on the main Ethereum blockchain for the browser extension in versions 12.6.0 and above and will soon be implemented in the mobile application.$XRP $FTT

For many Web 3.0 users, the lack of ETH to cover gas fees has become a significant barrier. Traditional solutions involve purchasing ETH on centralized exchanges (CEX) and transferring coins to wallets; however, this process often takes a lot of time and can be expensive.

The Gas Station aims to simplify transaction execution and remove barriers for users of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols by integrating network fees into the cost of the swap.

The new feature supports swaps for a range of assets, including ETH and its wrapped version (wETH), as well as wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC) and stablecoins USDT, USDC, and DAI.
