In the future, the biggest favorable factor for certain cryptocurrencies may be the approval of FET. The approval of FET means that these currencies can be directly sold to clients by investment institutions. To pass FET, three key conditions usually need to be met:
1. Historical: The survival time of the currency is very important. The future sustainability of newly issued currencies is difficult to predict, therefore, currencies that have survived multiple bull markets and remain active have a greater advantage. For example, ADA, XLM, XRP, DOGE, TRX, SOL, etc., these currencies have shown strong resilience in multiple market cycles, especially Dogecoin, which is not only well-known within the community but also has many people outside of it who understand it.
2. Breadth: The long-term value and market recognition of the currency. The broad base of investors will determine its long-term potential; only currencies with a large number of supporters and applications are likely to become mainstream.
3. Background: The dominant forces behind the currency, including the project party, foundation, and the influence of well-known figures. For example, SOL has strong foundation support, while DOGE is driven by prominent figures like Elon Musk. With the changes in Trump’s policies and the SEC gradually easing its scrutiny, many currencies will have the opportunity to become mainstream large currencies. For institutions, market capitalization and liquidity are crucial, and not just price; only currencies that can accommodate large capital flows can attract institutional funds.
Therefore, established altcoins that are favored in the current market will enter the first tier in this wave of market conditions. The second tier consists of strong MEME coins like PEPE and WIF, which may not have the market capitalization of first-tier currencies but still possess strong upward momentum in the short term. The third tier consists of independent leading coins in their respective fields, such as AI, DeFi, and gaming projects, which have unique market positioning and will also see their increases over time.
In summary, as the market continues to develop, the background, historical significance, and broad recognition of currencies will determine their status in the market, while the influx of institutional funds will accelerate the maturation and development of these currencies.
