As the election approaches, two segments of content: one discusses the process. The other reflects on some thoughts post-election, regarding the era, the world, and cryptocurrency!

First, we need to pay attention to the process:

-Election Day: November 5 ~ Most Americans will vote in person or by mail;

-Certification Deadline: November 6 to December 11 ~ States will certify election results during this period;

-Electoral College Voting: December 17 ~ The Electoral College will meet to cast official votes;

-Congress Counting: January 6, 2025 ~ Congress will convene to tally and certify the electoral votes;

-Inauguration Day: January 20, 2025 — The President will take the oath of office, marking the transition of power.

All election results announced on election night are preliminary. In the following days, when election officials tally the thousands of ballots, the results may change. This will include verified valid provisional ballots and mail-in ballots received on Election Day, as well as all verified valid mail-in ballots received within a week after Election Day that have a postal date stamp from Election Day.

Daily Reports During Ballot Review Period (Preliminary)

1. Starting November 6 (Wednesday), election officials will release a report each afternoon around 4 PM, indicating how many ballots are still awaiting counting.

2. Starting November 7 (Thursday), election officials will release an updated preliminary election results report each afternoon around 4 PM.

If election officials do not conduct counting work on certain days and will not issue updates on preliminary election results, they will notify the public of the arrangements in advance.

Official Results Announcement

Election officials will announce the final official election results no later than December 5, 2024. The closing times for polling stations in each state vary, ranging from 6 PM to midnight Eastern Time, with specific times determined by state law.

Format of Reports

The first and last report on election night, as well as the daily reports during the ballot review period, will include 1) Voting Statements: containing files (PDF and Excel) sorted by district, administrative area, and neighborhood community data, and 2) Voting Records showing the raw voting data (JSON).
