PANews reported on October 21 that according to the on-chain detective ZachXBT, the crypto payment service provider Transak was recently attacked by a ransomware. Transak said in a blog post earlier today that the incident was limited to the names and basic identity information of a small number of users (1.14% of the user base), while the ransomware gang claimed that it also included personally identifiable information (PII) and data of more users. According to Transak's website, it has been integrated with Metamask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase, Ledger, etc. for the entry and exit channels of fiat and cryptocurrency.
