😰 Critical New Development in Terra (LUNA) and SEC Case: Billion Dollars in Talk The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) asked the New York court to impose a hefty $5.3 billion fine on Terraform Labs and its co-founder Do Kwon, on the grounds that they were involved in the $40 billion collapse of the Terra (LUNA) ecosystem in 2022. Terraform Labs and Kwon were convicted on fraud charges earlier this month. A jury in Manhattan found that the company and Kwon deceived investors about the stability of their so-called “algorithmic” native stablecoin, Terra USD (UST), and the use cases of the Terra blockchain. The SEC, which filed for final judgment two weeks after the conclusion of the hearing, demands that Terraform Labs and Kwon pay damages and precautionary interest in the amount of $ 4.74 billion. Additionally, the regulator is seeking damages totaling $520 million, including $420 million from Terraform Labs and $100 million directly from Kwon. The SEC justified the total amount in an attached memorandum filed with the court, stating that Kwon and Terraform Labs “obtained over $4 billion in illicit profits (and likely much more) from their illegal conduct.” According to court documents, LUNA and MIR sales to institutional investors amounted to $65.2 million and $4.3 million, respectively. LUNA and UST sales through Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) totaled $1.8 billion. Additionally, investors purchased $2.3 billion of UST across various cryptocurrency trading platforms between June 2021 and May 2022. The SEC added that the penalty amount represents a “conservative” but “reasonable approach” to Terraform and Kwon's “ill-gotten gains.” In addition to the hefty fines, the SEC is also seeking injunctive relief to prevent Kwon and Terraform Labs from committing further securities violations and buying or selling “any cryptoasset securities.” The regulator is also seeking an officer and director ban that would prohibit Kwon from serving as an officer or director of a public company reported by the SEC. $LUNA #LUNA #TerraLabs

🚀 Shibarium Nears Major Record: What’s Next for SHIB Price? ● Shibarium’s daily transaction count surged 209%, from 6,000 to 18,560 within a week. ● Shibarium aims to break the record of 420 million total transactions, currently at 417 million. ● SHIB price fluctuates in a symmetrical triangle pattern, indicating equilibrium in market demand and supply. Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 solution, is nearing a significant milestone as daily transactions surged by 209%. According to Shibariumscan, the daily transaction count jumped from 6,000 on May 14 to 18,560 on May 20. This spike in activity follows the implementation of the Shibarium hard fork on the mainnet, marking a pivotal moment for the Ethereum L2 protocol. With this surge, Shibarium aims to break the record of 420 million total transactions. Currently, the total transaction count stands at 417,525,512. Although it is uncertain when this record will be achieved, the recent growth indicates Shibarium is on the right track. Meanwhile, Shiba Inu (SHIB) has been fluctuating within a symmetrical triangle pattern. This pattern suggests an equilibrium in market demand and supply at current prices. Buyers are currently attempting to push the price beyond the descending resistance line. At the time of writing, SHIB is priced at $0.000025, marking a slight decline of over 1%. Bullish traders are targeting a move above $0.000030. A successful breakout above this downtrend line could weaken bearish forces and potentially drive the price to $0.000035, where significant resistance is anticipated. Looking ahead, the future of Shiba Inu in the crypto industry appears promising. As Shibarium continues to grow and break records, it strengthens Shiba Inu’s position in the market. With ongoing developments and increased adoption, Shiba Inu is well-positioned for sustained growth and innovation. $SHIB #SHIB #Shibainu

⚡️ Bitcoin ETF: Record $305M Inflows, BlackRock’s BIT Leads 🔸 Bitcoin ETFs are holding ground, the Stock Market shivers Although only 5 months and 13 days old, U.S. spot Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) on bitcoin orchestrated a memorable performance last Tuesday, attracting a massive influx of 305.7 million dollars. It was a seventh consecutive day of positive flows, a true festival of greenbacks! Among the players in this financial ballet, Blackrock’s IBIT shone brightly, capturing alone 94.86% of the total inflows. Yes, you read that right, 94.86%! That represents a small fortune of 280 million dollars. Meanwhile, Fidelity’s FBTC had to settle for crumbs, still bringing in nearly 26 million dollars. The other spot bitcoin ETFs, for their part, were left frozen, with neither inflows nor outflows, like forgotten dancers on the side of the stage. Behind the scenes, Blackrock’s IBIT now holds 281,883.90 BTC, closely rivaling Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust, which possesses 289,511.90. A titanic battle is brewing, as IBIT needs just 7,628 BTC, a trifle of 536 million dollars, to match its rival. Currently, only GBTC, IBIT, and FBTC can boast owning more than 100,000 BTC each. With 159,548.77 BTC in hand, FBTC is worth a tidy sum of 11.21 billion dollars. 🔸 Blackrock’s IBIT: An Uncontested Leader Thunderstrike in the genteel world of finance! Blackrock’s IBIT, a spot bitcoin ETF, has just taken center stage with 414 institutional investors under its belt, reports Bitcoin.com. The latest filings with the SEC reveal that this fund is attracting the big fish, a real boon for bitcoin. Eric Balchunas, senior analyst at Bloomberg, didn’t mince words, calling this performance “stunning”. For him, gathering 20 holders for a freshly launched ETF is already an achievement, so 414 (among the 1,500 reported in 3 months)… it’s science fiction! No other bitcoin ETF launched in January has generated as much enthusiasm. In comparison, the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF, the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), and the ARK 21shares Bitcoin ETF struggle to keep pace. $BTC #BTC #ETF

🐋 Ethereum Whales Come Alive: Are They Buying Or Selling? 🔸 Ethereum Whale Transactions Are At Their Highest Since March In a new post on X, the market intelligence platform IntoTheBlock has discussed how the ETH whales have become active recently. The on-chain metric of interest here is the “Number of Large Transactions,” which, according to the analytics firm, tracks the total number of Ethereum transactions on the network valued at more than $100,000. Generally, only whale entities can make such large single transaction movements, so such large transfers are associated with these humongous investors. As such, the Number of Large Transactions indicator can tell us whether this cohort is active right now. The chart below shows the recent trend in this Ethereum metric. The graph shows that the Number of large transactions for Ethereum has sharply increased recently. This suggests that the whales have ramped up their activity. The whales have come alive as news surfaced that the ETH spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) could have improved their approval odds. The hype in the market has meant that ETH has enjoyed a rapid increase, taking its price back around the $3,800 level. With all this happening in the market, it’s only natural that these humongous entities would be repositioning themselves. As the scale of this cohort’s transactions is quite big, a large number of them taking place together can be powerful enough to cause ripples in the market. Thus, ETH could likely witness volatility shortly if the current high whale activity persists. This indicator measures the net amount of Ethereum moving into or out of the wallets of “Large Holders.” The analytics firm defines Large Holders as those who own at least 0.1% of the entire circulating asset supply. The graph shows that the Large Holders have been participating in accumulation recently, as the netflow has been positive for them. Thus, it appears that the recent activity from the whales has involved net-buying. $ETH #ETH #Ethereum

⭐️ Best Crypto For May 23 – Dogwifhat, Dogecoin 🔸 Dogwifhat (WIF) Up 7.6% in 24 hours and bucking the market decline, Dogwifhat (WIF) is making a claim for itself as best crypto to buy today. Dogwifhat was last close to $3.0, with a market cap of around $3 billion, as per CoinMarketCap. If it can break above its 21 and 50DMAs, WIF could quickly surge. Bullish targets would be the May highs at $3.70, and then the top of its short-term upward trend channel. If it can break above its 21 and 50DMAs, WIF could quickly surge, making it potentially the best crypto 🔸 Dogecoin (DOGE) Dogecoin (DOGE) isn’t a particularly strong performer on Wednesday. But it has formed an ascending triangle in recent weeks and is threatening a bullish breakout. If it can push above $0.17 resistance, a quick retest of yearly highs near $0.23 is likely. Dogecoin could be the best crypto to buy now assuming it can break above $0.17 resistance. ⚠️ Crypto Alternatives to Consider Altcoins are a great way to make quick gains in crypto. However, most of the above-mentioned coins are already too well-established to provide traders with gains of upwards of 10x. For those bigger gains, traders will need to get in super early on newer coins with lower market caps. Of course, this isn’t for the faint-hearted. That said, for risk-tolerant investors looking to add upside exposure to their portfolios, presale investing is potentially a good strategy. Web3 startups often sell their token at an early discount in presales to fund development and build hype. However, with so many presales vying for investor funds, it can be tough to know where to start. $WIF $DOGE #WIF #DOGE
