According to TechFlow, Fidelity released a one-minute video on Youtube this morning to introduce the Bitcoin Rune Protocol. The video briefly introduced the development history of Rune, the protocol mechanism, and its impact on the Bitcoin network.

Fidelity said in the video that Runes Protocol is a new token standard on Bitcoin, similar to BRC 20, but by removing some inefficient mechanisms, it is more popular with users and miners. Although some people think that Runes will only be used for meme coins and speculation, it performs well in Bitcoin transactions.

Fidelity said that when the Bitcoin network reached block 840,000 on April 19, it triggered the halving and also launched the Runes protocol.
