The Biden campaign has said it is looking to attract digital asset-focused voters and is discussing cryptocurrency acceptance options on Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) Commerce.
The Block, citing sources close to Biden’s circle, note that after criticism and accusations of the current president of creating obstacles to the growth of the US crypto industry, the campaign headquarters decided to demonstrate to the community the White House administration’s readiness to find compromise options.
“People on the Biden team’s outer and inner circle understand that staying silent on cryptocurrency, and ignoring the views of industry participants and digital asset holders, will likely lose the election,” one of the sources said.
