$5,000 in BTC for the services of a killer: a trial on charges of preparing to murder will be held in the United States
23-year-old resident of Salt Lake City (Utah, USA) Krista Renee Stone paid $5,000 in bitcoins as an advance payment for the contract killing. On June 15, the court will pronounce a verdict in her case.
Stone pleaded guilty to preparing a crime. According to the US Department of Justice, from March to September 2023, she negotiated to organize the murder by posting an ad on a thematic site on the darknet.
She provided a detailed description of the victim, including a photograph, location and method of completing the task.
The department does not provide the circumstances of the arrest, as well as the identity of the victim.
Let us recall that in July 2023, a court in California sentenced 38-year-old Christy Lynn Felkins for attempted contract murder of her ex-husband.
