The new CEO of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange #Binance published his first post on the company's official blog, talking about the company's future under his leadership and interaction with regulators.
Richard Teng became the CEO of Binance after the exchange's predecessor, co-founder Changpeng Zhao, was forced to resign amid criminal charges from the US Department of Justice. In announcing his successor, Zhao called Teng a "highly qualified leader" who would "lead the company through the next period of growth as he has years of experience in financial services and regulation." Teng first announced that Binance has entered a new phase of development.
“I'm excited to work with policymakers around the world, giving crypto investors confidence in the future of the industry, as well as attracting the next billion users. We will work diligently to ensure the long-term sustainability of cryptocurrencies," said the new CEO.
The head of the most influential trading platform said that he intends to conduct business "while respecting the past and learning valuable lessons from it":
"Our team was created with the idea that innovation should serve the good of users. Binance brings the idea to life by offering useful and high-quality products. As the new CEO of the company, I will continue to follow this course, and we will all continue to strive for product improvement and financial innovation.”
Teng believes in the potential of blockchain and its ability to provide seamless access to financial services and international translations:
"I intend to continue to drive the development and mass adoption of Web3, and to build an ecosystem that provides access to advanced financial technologies."
