Railgun price rises more than 132% immediately after Vitalik Buterin's support
Railgun recorded a digital triple percentage gain after a post by Vitalik Buterin on X.com pointed out its privacy benefits.
The token gained more than 132% following the Ethereum co-founder's comments. Railgun, whose ticker is RAIL, is changing hands at $1.31.
"Privacy is normal. Railgun uses the privacy pools protocol, which makes it much more difficult for bad actors to join the pool without compromising user privacy," Buterin posted on X.com.
According to Arkham Intelligence, Buterin appears to have backed up his words with actions, transferring a substantial amount of ether to Railgun on Monday. The data showed that his vitalik.eth address transferred 100 ETH, approximately $325,000 at 09:42 UTC.
On-chain data from Arkham Intelligence showed that for the past six months, Buterin has been interacting with Railgun using small amounts of Aether almost every month.
