Fidelity has added staking to its Ethereum Spot ETF application.
Earlier, on March 5, the SEC postponed its decision on Fidelity's application (at the same time on BlackRock's application). Upcoming deadlines for#Fidelityapplications:
- third - June 3, 2024.
- fourth and final - August 2, 2024.
The nearest final deadline for applications is May 23, 2024, according to the “pioneer” application from #VanEck.
On March 11, #Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balciunas estimated the likelihood of applications for Ethereum spot ETFs being approved at 35%. And on the forecast platform #Polymarket , the probability of approval of the spot Ethereum ETF by the end of May decreased to 28%.
Despite the fact that in early January, against the backdrop of the approval of the spot Bitcoin ETF, this figure was as much as 74%. Optimism has diminished since then. But from the point of view of defusing the euphoria for#ETHand altcoins in general, this is for the better.
Although the issue of ETH's status (unregistered security - or not) in the eyes of US regulators - does remain.
