PANews reported on January 6 that, according to Bitcoin.com, the amount of ETH locked in liquid staking platforms (LSD) exceeded 14 million in October 2024, but then saw a decline. As of January 5, 2025, approximately 13.78 million ETH was locked across these platforms, a decrease of 70,000 from the 13.85 million at the end of November. Currently, the total amount of ETH locked in these LSD platforms accounts for 11.44% of the circulating supply of ETH (120,474,080).
Among these platforms, Lido dominates, holding 9.64 million staked ETH, accounting for as much as 69.96%, worth $34.9 billion. However, since November 30, 2024, the amount of staked ETH on Lido has decreased by 160,000, when it reached 9.8 million. Meanwhile, Binance's liquid staking platform attracted 150,000 new staked ETH in the past 36 days. Rocket Pool, on the other hand, has continued to face capital outflows, losing 479,374 ETH from October 29 to the end of November, and has seen an additional decrease of 7,743 ETH in the past 36 days.
