Today, BNB finally surged, and I've been dollar-cost averaging into BNB, always feeling like something big is about to happen. Recently, there have been many rumors saying that BlackRock is going to acquire Binance. Personally, I think the possibility of an acquisition is extremely low. BlackRock currently has a market capitalization of 150 billion USD, and the entire equity valuation of Binance, including BNB, should be between 150 to 200 billion USD, which is slightly higher than BlackRock. Therefore, it’s almost impossible for BlackRock to swallow an elephant whole. However, there is a possibility of selling some shares to BlackRock, which is quite reasonable, or we could call it 'political donations.' From the perspective of both parties' needs, the fundamental contradictions on the table have been resolved after CZ paid a hefty fine and was released from prison, but we can't rule out the possibility of future issues. Moreover, CZ's equity is too concentrated, and it should still exceed 90% at present. Binance also has the need to ensure long-term stability through binding some long-term interests, just like when Alipay brought in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission back in the day.
