Cryptocurrency investment platform Public announced the completion of $135 million in equity and debt financing, including $105 million in equity and $30 million in debt. The new funding will be used to enhance the artificial intelligence capabilities of the Public platform. Long-term supporter Accel is the main investor. Previously, Public had raised over $300 million in venture capital. Public announced the launch of cryptocurrency trading services in 2021, competing with firms like Robinhood Markets, after individual investors using the platform could only trade stocks and ETFs listed in the U.S. It has now expanded to include cryptocurrencies, treasury bonds, and artworks. Its target customers are young cryptocurrency users.
