The report shows that the proportion of IPO activities in Mainland China and Hong Kong continued to decline in 2024. As of the end of November, the forecast data indicates that the number of IPOs and the amount raised in the A-share and Hong Kong markets have decreased to 14% and 16% of the global total, respectively. The report points out that global IPO activity will still slow overall in 2024, with an expected total of 1,162 companies going public globally, raising $117.3 billion. Compared with the same period last year, the number of IPOs and the amount raised decreased by 14% and 7%, respectively. As the global economic slowdown gradually eases and the backlog of exit demands in the private equity market provides support, it is expected that the IPO market will improve in 2025.
