Why do I dislike buying large amounts of unlocking coins???
Most unlocking coins mean that the coins purchased in the early stages can be sold, but unlocking does not necessarily lead to a direct crash. Shareholders gather together to discuss whether it is better to sell high or to crash the price to induce panic among retail investors before selling high. It is difficult to discern this; not all unlocking projects are like SUI, which unlocks while pushing up the price; more projects are like ARB, where unlocking leads to a crash.
1: The coins waiting to be unlocked have a common point. When you look at arb, op, dydx, right before unlocking and when the coin price is high, shareholders will rush to sell, fearing they will sell late and miss out on higher prices. These shareholders are not united, making it hard for the coin price to rise.
2: For unlocking coins, unless there is a united shareholder with a set goal who can then sell in an orderly manner, you can see ID is doing well in this regard, first pushing the price up 10 times, selling off a significant amount, then directly crashing by 60%, and then slowly consolidating. Shareholders make profits, early retail investors also make profits, while only the later speculators are left stuck at the peak, shivering.
3: To summarize, unlocking type coins are not as good as fully unlocked valuable coins, old coins are not as good as new coins, public chain coins outperform over 80% of coins, and POW coins with a major shareholder can outperform over 90% of coins. Choose coins that are popular, valuable, and have consensus; the top 50 on the leaderboard are generally the best coins (excluding stablecoins).
