Transac, a cryptocurrency platform used by popular blockchain companies, has suffered a data leak, the team announced in a blog post on Monday.

- The leak affected 1.14% of users.

- Names and basic identification information were leaked.

- The ransomware group claims to have obtained more sensitive data.

Transac says no financially critical information was compromised.

- The ransomware group claims the leak affected all KYC data.

- It claims to have extracted over 300GB of data, including identity documents and financial statements.

Transac provides tools to purchase cryptocurrency via credit cards and is integrated into Metamask and Trust Wallet wallets, as well as Coinbase and Binance.US exchanges.

The ransomware group threatens to publish the remaining data or sell it unless Transac pays the ransom.
