Bitcoin approaches $68,000, altcoins and US stocks fall

●Futures contracts tied to the S&P 500 were flat on Tuesday night, with Wall Street watching to see if it can re-set all-time highs this week.

S&P 500 futures fell 0.1%. Nasdaq 100 futures fell 0.1%, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell slightly by 37 points and Nvidia shares fell more than 4%.

●Earnings reports this week were mixed, with solid results from large banks and less optimistic prospects for UnitedHealth Group and Dutch chipmaker ASML.

●Morgan Stanley and Abbott Laboratories will report earnings before the market opens on Wednesday.

●BTC broke through 67,000, hitting a local high of 67,950 on the day, a new high since early August. After that, the major asset encountered strong selling pressure and the price fell below 65,000. However, the bulls did not give up and they regained control of the market, pushing the price above 67200 again, with BTC currently trading around 67280. $BTC

● Meanwhile, ETH fell slightly in the rally after failing to stay above 2700.

However, the bulls are still struggling to keep the price above 2600, with ETH currently trading around 2621. $ETH
