Bitcoin Ordinal will be auctioned live at Christie’s for the first time, with “Ascend” by architectural photographers Ryan Koopmans and Alice Wexell being engraved on the Bitcoin blockchain on September 14, 2024, and set to be auctioned live on October 10.

This photo uses 3D technology to show an abandoned medieval sanatorium in Tskartubo, Georgia. The on-chain artwork is dynamic and automatically switches from "day" mode to "night" mode, synchronously reflecting the time zone where the building is located in Georgia.

Pudgy Penguins Launches Pudgy Arcade on Solana for the First Time

The popular Pudgy Penguins series has just debuted on the Solana blockchain, and after gaining widespread recognition as an Ethereum-based series, the brand has partnered with DRiP Haus (a creator platform designed to mint NFTs at scale) to release free limited-edition digital collectibles that allow recipients to upgrade their penguin characters.

Fans can now check out the new Pudgy Penguins channel which is now live and has garnered 13,500 followers at the time of posting.

The release of Penguin Solana comes just days after rumors began circulating on X about another surprise penguin-themed game, and on September 29, CEO Luca Netz tweeted that physical arcades were "taking over the country" and shared a video of one of the new games going live at the Castle Park Arcade in Sherman Oaks, California, which was described as appealing to younger players and featuring battles with seals, killer whales, and other polar predators.

Art Blocks Curated presents Michael Kozlowski’s “Bokeh”

Art Blocks Curated has just announced an upcoming exhibition featuring sculptures by generative artist Michael Kozlowski.

The series, titled “Bokeh,” will roll out in phases from now through November, culminating in an IRL exhibition at Art Blocks Gallery in Marfa, Texas.

The “Bokeh” sculptures are physical lamps generated by algorithmic code that Kozlowski designed with both artistic and functional design in mind. Each lamp measures approximately 18 x 14 x 4 inches and is made of abstract, layered materials that play with light and shadow.

“Bokeh” marks the first time Art Blocks has released a collection of physical and digital artworks created by a single artist’s generative algorithms.

Beeple Studios Launches Newest Artwork (Tree of Knowledge)

Beeple, a digital artist, sold 5,000 pieces from his “EVERYDAYS” series for $69 million, which has art lovers rethinking our relationship with technology.

His latest work, “Tree of Knowledge,” which debuted at Italian Tech Week and encourages viewers to think about the interconnectedness between digital art and nature, was purchased by investment management firm Lingotto, with proceeds from the auction going to food justice nonprofit Big Green and Art Into Acres, an artist-led organization dedicated to protecting indigenous lands in the Amazon rainforest.

Gunzilla Games receives funding from Delphi Ventures

The developers of the highly anticipated blockchain battle royale game Off The Grid have just received a major investment, with Web3 venture capital firm Delphi Ventures becoming Gunzilla Games’ largest validator node operator, reportedly providing $6 million in support for the ecosystem.

According to an official statement, the investment will help Gunzilla Games achieve its mission to launch a AAA-quality web3 game on all major platforms, complete with an action-packed 60-hour narrative.

(Scrubs) star Donald Faison named host of NOUNS FEST

Actor and comedian Donald Faison, best known for his role as Dr. Chris Turk on (Scrubs), will host NOUNS FEST on Oct. 10 in downtown Los Angeles, an event that will screen 50 animated shorts from creators around the world and showcase unique works created by members of the NOUNS community.

Tickets are on sale now and include access to the screening and after-party, and Faison, who has voiced animated features such as Robot Chicken and Star Wars Resistance, is a fitting addition to the festival’s celebration of animation.

Yield Guild Games Partners with Parallel

Yield Guild Games (YGG), a web3 guild protocol, will partner with sci-fi card game Parallel to host a five-day tournament at the YGG Play Summit in Manila, Philippines from November 19 to 23. The tournament will reportedly feature a prize pool of up to $100,000, with two global online qualifiers before the tournament to determine the participants.

In addition to the tournament, the YGG Play Summit will also feature the inaugural GAM3 Awards Ceremony, a role-playing tournament, a day-long conference, and live demos of the latest web3 games.
