[Vitalik Buterin shares important information about Layer2 security]
Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin shares his thoughts on transaction verification on Layer 2. He said that Layer2 inherits the security of Layer1, and as long as Layer1 remains safe, the assets on Layer2 will also be safe and can be withdrawn at any time.
This is in response to a video by developer Pratham Prasoon that explores cryptocurrency transaction security and Layer2’s mobile rollups. Currently, there is typically a seven-day verification period after a transaction is made on the blockchain, meaning there is a one-week wait to withdraw funds. Buterin mentioned that this problem can be solved with Staked Rollups, since stakers can verify transactions in seconds.
