Happycoin.club - Over the past five days, 29 Bitcoin ATMs have been disabled in Europe. As a result, their total number in the region was reduced to 1,589 devices.

In total, the global network of active Bitcoin ATMs lost 107 machines in June. It was in the first month of summer that a 10-month period ended when the number of devices was constantly increasing.

In July, the rate of shutdowns of crypto ATMs increased significantly - in just five days, 227 devices disappeared from the global network. Most of them were located in Europe and the USA. Interestingly, 77 new Bitcoin ATMs were put into operation in Australia during this period.

The United States still remains the leader in the number of installed Bitcoin ATMs, controlling about 80% of all devices.

Experts attribute the massive closure of cryptocurrency ATMs to the fall of Bitcoin, which fell below $54,000 this week, but then corrected slightly to $56,600.

However, this is not the first time there has been a large-scale shutdown. Almost a year ago, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority closed 26 Bitcoin ATMs across the country as it investigated the device operators for their involvement in cryptocurrency scams.
