According to reports:
Johann Steynberg, the mastermind of the South African Bitcoin Ponzi scheme, died of pulmonary thromboembolism in Brazil. Despite doubts about his death, the death certificate was posted online.
Some speculate that his death was carefully planned by him. Steynberg noticed his mental health deteriorating before his heart attack. His Brazilian wife said he left no assets or will.
