What is Renzo?
Renzo is the liquid staking token (LRT) and strategic manager for EigenLayer. The project serves as an interface to the EigenLayer ecosystem, championing active authenticated services (AVSs), offering higher yields than ETH staking.
How it works
Renzo generates an amount of ezETH equivalent to each LST or ETH staked into the platform. The project builds the main on-ramp/off-ramp for Ethereum staking through a combination of smart contracts and operator nodes. This ensures the best profit strategy after the staking process.
The staking strategy plays an important role when users decide to hedge or combine AVSs. AVS in Eigenlayer are decentralized services powered by Ethereum's security. Every AVS offers slashing rewards and risks. The more AVS an investor has, the more viable strategies there are to effectively protect AVS.
Project highlights
The EigenLayer ecosystem allows Ethereum validators to stake their ETH and provide it to a Network Service, such as a data availability layer with a specific type of node software called Active Validation Services. dynamic (AVS).
The Eigenlayer operator acts as an AVS node, opting for AVS authentication by running its AVS software. AVS nodes are nodes running the AVS software as Eigenlayer Operators.
Renzo operating nodes are professional pledge providers that can ensure the safety of protocol users' funds and the accuracy of heavy pledge operations.
The protocol distributes pooled LST among all active node operators based on associated weights
