CZ posted on X (original Twitter) that due to the Kroll data leak incident (it seems that an employee suffered a SIM card swap attack), a new round of phishing attacks against FTX, BlockFi, and Genesis users has begun.
Earlier news, FTX issued a statement saying that in response to the cybersecurity incident of Kroll, the bankruptcy claims agent, FTX has taken preventive measures to temporarily freeze the affected user accounts in the customer claims portal. BlockFi said that the attack on Kroll led to the leakage of some BlockFi customer data, but BlockFi's internal system and customer funds were not affected. BlockFi reminds users to upgrade security precautions and be wary of scams such as fraudulent emails.
